Samuel was born in a traditional Amish community in Ohio. When he was a few years old, the family moved to a smaller community in western PA, where his parents were on a quest for a different environment to raise their children. As part of a big family on a small dairy farm, Samuel learned the value of responsibility, work ethic, and how to do life together as a family.

Years later, the family made another move—this time to join a new community forming in Libby, MT.  There, Samuel started working for a local company putting prefabricated log home kits together.  Even though construction was new to him, he was leading the prefab building crew within 2 years.  A few years later, he was leading an on-site crew—erecting homes in various states, including one in Japan.

In 2003, he presented the idea of forming a commercial roofing company to a few of his brothers.  Again, despite not having had any experience in the commercial roofing space, he lunged into it—true to his entrepreneurial drive.  Today, the recognitions on his office walls affirm his heart for excellence and customer care.

Samuel has been married to Esther, the woman of his dreams for 22 years. Together they have four beautiful children (3 bio and 1 adopted). Their heart is to see them loved well and equipped for life.
